Govt. loses 2 more PS budgets

The UPFA-run Pradeshiya Sabhas in Bulathsinhala and Damana were defeated at votes today (23).


In the Bulathsinhala PS vote, only the chairman voted in favour of the budget, while eight UPFA and three opposition members opposed.

Only the chairman voted in favour of the Damana PS budget too, as four voted against it, while two UNP members abstained.

UPFA member Sujeewa Wijetilake left the PS meeting after handing over his resignation to the chairman, reports said.

The UPFA-run Homagama PS budget was defeated earlier in the day.
