Missing man found dead in wooded area

Anamaduwa Police has discovered the body of a person who had died under suspicious circumstances from a wooded area in Rajapaksa Watta, Mudalakkuliya.


The deceased has been identified as A.H.M Chandrapala (53), a father of four and a resident of Mudalakkuliya in Anamaduwa who had been reported missing since December 06.

Meanwhile it has been reported that the wooded area, where body was found last evening, is located within a land owned by Chandrapala’s sister.

The cause of death has not been determined yet while the magistrate’s inquiry is scheduled to be conducted.

Anamaduwa Police are conducting further investigations.
