Chief Minister of Sri Lanka's Northern Province meets President

Chief Minister of Sri Lanka's Northern Province C. V. Vigneswaran called on Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa Thursday at Temple Trees.


The Chief Minister extended New Year greetings to the President and exchanged pleasantries.They discussed the issues in the administration of the Northern Province and the general problems prevailing in the North seeking for ways and means to address the issues. They also discussed the future plans of the Provincial Council.
Secretary to the President, Lalith Weeratunga, Secretary to Cabinet, Sumith Abeysinghe Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Dr. P.B. Jayasundara and Tamil National Alliance (TNA) parliamentarian M.A Sumanthiran were also present.
