Five Indian women dancers arrested from a karaoke parlour at Baseline Road, Borella for being in the country on tourist visa are to be deported.
The place is owned by a former member of the western provincial council, who is from Gampaha.
Police said its manager too, has been arrested, produced before the Maligakanda magistrate and was fined Rs. 90,000.
Meanwhile, a 45-year-old Indian man was arrested at Vinayagapuram in Valachchena, where he had been selling textiles while in the country on tourist visa.
He was due to be produced before the Valalchchena magistrate’s court today.
